Stop Marginalization of Afghan Women - #HearUs Campaign

Social Media Advocacy December 2025

Raising Our Voices for Afghan Women

In December 2025, our CEO Maryam Gardiwal joined a powerful global movement advocating for Afghan women's rights through the #HearUs campaign. This initiative brings together voices from around the world to demand an end to the systematic marginalization of Afghan women and girls.

The Crisis

Since August 2021, Afghan women have faced unprecedented restrictions on their fundamental rights:

  • Education: Girls are banned from attending school beyond grade 6
  • Work: Women are prohibited from most forms of employment
  • Mobility: Women cannot travel without a male guardian
  • Public Life: Women are erased from public spaces and decision-making

Our Response

Through Alefbe.App, we are providing educational opportunities that transcend physical barriers. Our digital platform ensures that Afghan women and girls can continue learning, regardless of the restrictions they face on the ground.

A Call to Action

We call on the international community to:

  1. Recognize gender apartheid as a crime against humanity
  2. Support educational initiatives that reach Afghan women and girls
  3. Amplify Afghan women's voices in international forums
  4. Hold those responsible for these violations accountable

Join the Movement

Follow the conversation on social media using #HearUs and #AfghanWomensRights. Every voice matters in this fight for justice and equality.

"Education is not just a right—it's the foundation of freedom, dignity, and progress. We will not stop until every Afghan girl can learn without fear."

— Maryam Faiq Gardiwal, CEO of Alefbe.App
